Staying Safe on the Campaign Trail!

Campaigning is important during an election, but no vote is worth taking unnecessary risks that could cause our community harm. As we reengage Shelby Township I am working to campaign using common sense safety protocols, like those outlined in a guide provided by eCanvasser. Your health and safety are my priority!

Anyone working with my campaign is instructed not to share any equipment such as pens, mobile devices, leaflets, etc. In addition, all volunteers are instructed to not meet in groups before or after any canvassing or literature drop is conducted.
All volunteers are instructed to wear face masks and gloves if they will be interacting with voters. All volunteers are instructed to thoroughly wash hands before beginning any work on behalf of the campaign.
Finally, all volunteers must take their temperature and are instructed to not come to any event if they feel sick or have a temperature.
All in all, pretty basic stuff. But I will do what I can to ensure that I don't unnecessarily endanger a voter while on the campaign trail.
